I am an Acrylic and Gouache artist living in Sydney, Australia. I love painting landscapes. Of particular interest to me is places that I have travelled to within Australia. Australia has incredible varied landscapes from beautiful beaches, inland rivers, cliffs and valleys, sweeping plains, to vivid red deserts. I love the way the light interacts with the colours within the natural environment. For me nature is deeply soothing, peaceful and quite giving. It is very rare for me to leave the natural environment without feeling rejuvenated and blessed. I mainly paint from personal reference photos, although I love the challenge of painting en plein-air. The beauty about painting places I have been to is the memories fill my soul; sometimes I feel like I am there again. My aim is to convey light, peace and tranquility in my art. I love to tell stories and capture everyday, fleeting, life moments.
